Metal Braces
Metal braces are extremely versatile, and can be used to treat almost any orthodontic problem. They consist of a series of brackets that are bonded to your teeth and connected by a metal archwire held in place by rubber elastics. By adjusting the archwire every few weeks, Dr. Tath can gently correct and adjust the position of your teeth over time.
If you have serious issues with your teeth alignment or your bite, metal braces are typically the best way to resolve them and ensure that you get a straight smile. They are versatile enough to handle almost any orthodontic problem, no matter how severe.
Clear & Tooth Colored Braces
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces work by the same principles as metal braces. However, instead of metal brackets and wires, they use clear or tooth-colored ceramic brackets, as well as tooth-colored wires.
Because your braces will be clear or tooth-colored, ceramic braces don’t affect your appearance as much as their metal counterparts. Ceramic braces are a good option if you need orthodontic treatment but would prefer to avoid the appearance of traditional braces.
Correct Cosmetic Orthodontic Problems
Six Month Braces
We offer six month braces, which are useful for treating cosmetic teeth alignment issues in patients who do not have serious orthodontic problems.
Treatment with six month braces is extremely fast because it focuses primarily on the front teeth, and is only an option for patients who already have relatively straight teeth and a healthy bite, but do not have perfectly-aligned teeth.
Brace-Free Smile Correction
Clear Aligners
Clear Aligner Therapy uses sets of clear plastic aligners instead of braces. Over time, you switch through a series of these aligners, and they gently push your teeth toward the proper position.
Unlike braces, clear aligners are removable, nearly invisible when worn, and do not affect speech. Treatment is also very fast, and requires fewer appointments at our office. Although there are many benefits, it’s not right for all patients.
